About

I was born in North Wales, near the foothills of Snowdon. As a country boy, it’s hard to believe that I would ever end up within the new media industry! I consider myself very lucky, as I have been around to watch the internet evolve and change from a set of boring, dull & clunky websites to feature rich and fully functional sites. This, I find completely cool. And that is why I suppose, I am a web developer. I’m interested in making things easy to use, and at the same time powerful.
Things I like: Web technology, Graphic design, Photography and Old cars, specifically, VW's!
More about me..
I have been making websites for 5 years now. I have progressed my skills with the latest web technology, and kept up to date with current trends and ideas. The web is about making things usable, beautiful, and most importantly reliable. My main goal is always to help the client achieve a successful website. I have been part of some interesting and primarily new start-up websites, which I have seen from Concept -> Design -> Finished Article. I always aim above the bar and try to provide a exciting design based of the requirements of the client. Learning something new isn't a issue for me, as most web developers like to think they know everything!
What are your strengths?
I consider myself a experienced user of Adobe Photoshop, HTML (All forms), CSS, XML, and have currently embraced jQuery (AJAX) and PHP. These core applications and languages help me bring a concept design to life, allowing me to make some great websites.
I'm not really sure what any of those are..
Languages like jQuery and PHP help me create dynamic content which can take any shape or form. They primarily help display static content in a dynamic way. This could be from a fancy sideshow image section, or styling a form so it isn't so boring to look at. These help you (the person browsing) find information quickly and without irritation. Cluttered websites can confuse the user, and that is the absolute last thing you want to do. Usability is key!
